MOT type 1 Stone Northallerton

Ministry of Transport type 1 road stone has a very stringent specification and Lightwater Quarries Ltd is able to supply a high quality MOT Type 1 from our local quarry at Masham in North Yorkshire.

Used under all major highways Lightwater Quarries can boast that it’s MOT Type 1 was used extensively under the A1 motorway during the last carriageway expansion and major works.

This is surely reassuring to our customers as the quality of stone has been severely tested for use in such major infrastructure. Local to Northallerton our quarry has supplied many of the more recent schemes such as the new housing development on Yafforth Road.
